Mini HDMI Cables
The Mini HDMI cable was designed for portable devices including cell phones, cameras, navigation systems, and high-definition camcorders. Most of these devices produce file formats or content that is compatible with a high-definition display device, such as an HD TV. The Mini HDMI Cables is designed with two different end sizes. On one end there is an input small enough to fit into the portable device, while on the other end is a standard HDMI input to fix into the TV or other device connected to the portable device.
Micro HDMI Cables
Another small size input type available is the Micro HDMI cable. It serves the same needs as the Mini HDMI Cable, with a different shape at the small end of the cable. This cable design is needed to fit devices with a connection that is slightly smaller than the Mini HDMI. Like the Mini HDMI Cable, the Micro HDMI Cable allows users to connect their portable device to a larger device to display images and video. More so, the Micro HDMI Cable allows charging the portable device (whether it is a smart phone or a game console). Blackberries, and most Samsung and LG phones have a Micro HDMI input.
